Linchu Reservoir Recreational and Agricultural Demonstration Area

Linchu Reservoir Recreational and Agricultural Demonstration Area Located at the northwest corner of Baihe, this area includes Liantan, Guangan, Yufeng and Shaoan Communities. Covering eight km2 of land and water, this area borders Touqian Creek to the east, the canal system of Linchu Reservoir and Jianghun Reservoir to the west, Dapaizhu to the south and Shaoan Agriculture Rezoning Area to the north. The Linchu Reservoir area was chosen for the first-phase development, where a prototype of recreational agriculture is forming.

The Linchu Reservoir Area was one of the earliest lotus planting locations in Baihe. The existing ponds and natural landscape, such as sand dunes, are integrated into the planning of the recreational and agricultural demonstration facilities. The design of this project is set against the backdrop of fields and farm villages, integrating the concept of recreational farming and community redevelopment to create lotus-themed activities for this area. At the current stage, the lakeside cycling track has been completed, which is linked to the existing cycling track system in the community. Resting platforms are also set up around the lake, offering visitors a moment of rest under the big trees and the marvelous views of the lake. This spot is not only a perfect place for lotus viewing but also a paradise for birds. This area is one of the best locations for the demonstration facilities set up to lead the development of the recreational agriculture industry since it is complete with an existing lotus industry, a landscape of farming villages, unique culture, diversified ecology and recreational activities.
